In 2019, I joined METRO Markets as one of the first engineers to build a B2B marketplace from scratch. No infrastructure, no team, no cloud. Six months later, we were live in Germany. Today, the platform runs 200+ microservices across 40+ GCP projects, serving multiple European countries.
I split my time between cloud engineering and cloud security, from platform architecture and Terraform governance to driving security initiatives across the METRO group, including a HackerOne VDP and enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning.

Built internal tools adopted across the engineering org: an AI-powered merge request description generator, Prometheus exporters for GitHub Copilot and incident management metrics, and a HackerOne-to-incident-management bridge. Production Go, not scripts.
Security Champion across the METRO group. Drove adoption of a public Vulnerability Disclosure Program via HackerOne, enterprise SCA/SAST scanning, and production pentests. Hardened infrastructure with HashiCorp Vault, custom least-privilege IAM, and security-first architecture before a major incident proved the need.
Organization-level GCP governance with modularized Terraform. Versioned, tested, and reviewed. Automated compliance checks enforce consistency across all environments and projects.
